Mattie Constant, 65, of 542 Bellwood Drive in Elizabethtown, formerly of Campbellsville, died at 11:10 a.m., Sunday, March 22 at the Jewish Hospital in Louisville after an illness. She united in marriage to Mr. Arthur (Art) Constant October 31, 1939. He preceded her in death May 30, 1979. She is survived by three brothers: Robert Kirtley and Frank Kirtley both of Elizabethtown and Gatton Kirtley of Louisville; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends. Funeral services were at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 24 at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Chapel in Campbellsville by the Rev. Danny Morris. Burial was in Brookside Cemetery. Pallbearers were Everette Lee, Sonny Kirtley, Ernest Wise, Jr., Ezra Kirtley, Jr., Paul Raley and Lewis Wilson.
