Tom was born Sept. 10, 1931 in Oak Park, Ill., the son of Frank and Evelyn (Nelson) Bramhall, one of seven children. He graduated from Oak Park-River Forest High School and attended Culver Stockton College, Canton, Mo. In May 1951, he met JoAnn Koch in River Forest, Ill., where she attended Concordia Teachers College. They were married Dec. 24, 1951 in Stuttgart, Ark. Tom joined the U.S. Marine Corps in January 1952 and served two years as control tower chief of the Opalocka Naval Air Base in Florida. After discharge the couple settled for 25 yrs. in Addison, Ill., where they raised two sons and one daughter. They were active members of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Addison, where JoAnn taught grades 2-3. Tom's love of flying led him to a 34-year career with American Airlines, beginning in February 1954 as an agent in the flight dispatch office at Chicago's Midway Airport and retiring as director of systems control in Dallas-Ft. Worth, Texas.

After retirement in 1987 the couple moved to their home on Lac Court Oreilles and in 1998 into the city of Hayward. Tom enjoyed musky fishing, ice fishing, snowmobiling, gardening and teaching his grandchildren to fish. He was an active member of Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church in Hayward. His faith in God was strong. He loved his country and was proud to have served it as a Marine. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

Tom is survived by his wife of 61 years, JoAnn; two sons, Thomas (Cynthia) Bramhall of Mooresville, N.C. and David (Brenda) Bramhall of Hudson; one daughter, Jeanne (Rick) Thompson of Scandia, Minn.; five grandchildren, Tom, Jim and Steve Bramhall, Rob Douglass and Kristen Peterson; one great-grandson, Luke Bramhall; one brother, Arthur Bramhall of Studio City, Calif.; three sisters, Patricia (Neal) DeBolt of Bartlett, Ill., Sharon (Ed) Hannon of W. Chicago, Ill. and Mary Lou Bramhall of River Forest, Ill.; and many nieces and nephews.
