Lt. William Joseph (Bill) Daniel, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert S. Daniel of Kerens. Graduate of North Texas State University. Served in the U.S. Air Fore as a pilot of B-24 from 1942 to 1945. Missing in action for 2 months in 1944, when his plane was shot down, later located in a Russian hospital in Hungry. Married to the former Bettye Jean Read. Re-enlisted in 1947 in the Air Force and retired in 1967 as a Major.
