Gill was the 9th child of Ezra Rector and Susannah Tunis Rector. He married Louise Kuszmaul 19 Oct 1893 in Pekin, Tazewell Cty, IL. They lived for 20 years after their marriage in Tremonton, Box Elder Cty, UT. Then moved in 1919 to Wilder, Canyon Cty, ID. Louise died a few months after they arrived. In 1930 Gill was found living at the Tazewell County Home Elm Grove Township, IL. He was transferred to the Peoria State Hospital 3 months prior to his death. They never had children. He is buried at the Peoria State Hospital Cemetery-Limestone Twp, Peoria Cty, IL
