Funeral services for Bessie Helen Oller, 89, of Newton, Kan., were held Saturday, Aug. 3 at Clinkingbeard Funeral Home with Bro. Joe Gaddy officiating. Burial was in Lilly Ridge Cemetery.
Mrs. Oller died Tuesday, July 30, 2002, at Friendly Acres Retirement Community in Newton, Kan. She was born Dec. 12, 1912, near Gainesville, the daughter of William P. and Margie (Wells) White. She married Willard Hambelton Jan. 19, 1930, at Dawt. He preceded her in death Jan. 4, 1966. She married Ralph H. Oller Oct. 8, 1969, in Newton, Kan.
She attended grade school and high school in Ozark County. She was a member of Newton Bible Church in Newton, Kan. She enjoyed reading the Bible, fishing, cooking fish for others and quilting.
Mrs. Oller is survived by her husband, Ralph; one stepson, Richard Oller of Newton, Kan.; one stepdaughter, Ruby Papendick of Pullman, Wash.; five grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; 14 step-grandchildren; 35 step-great-grandchildren; one step-great-great-grandchild; and one sister, Avis Porter of Springfield;
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Willard Hambelton; three sons, Loral Hambelton, Bobby Joe Hambelton and James C. Hambelton; a stepson, Jerry Oller; four brothers; and five sisters.
