Faith retired after 35 years of dedicated service with the Baptist Mid-Missions, serving as a missionary in the Central African Republic. Upon retiring from the mission field, Faith continued to assist Baptist Mid-Missions by printing Sunday school material for the next 19 years.
She was a graduate of St. Cloud State Teachers College, St. Cloud, MN, a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Mechanicsburg and was a former member of First Baptist Church in Rosemount, MN. Faith enjoyed embroidery and crocheting and shared her talents by teaching the women of the African Republic the craft of embroidery.
Faith was a well respected and loved woman by those she met in Africa as well as her family and friends in the United States. She will be deeply missed by those whose lives she touched.
Faith is survived by her loving husband of 63 years The Rev. Harold V. Dark, three children Eunice Priddy and husband Glenn of New Cumberland, Pauline Dark of Apple Valley, MN and Daniel Dark and wife Tahmi of Polk City, IA, a brother Joyce Wildman and wife Mildred of Willmar, MN, a sister Gayle Brewer and husband Clifford of Sauk Rapids, MN as well as 5 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, October 26, 2012 at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 4681 East Trindle Road, Mechanicsburg. Viewing will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 AM Friday in the church. Burial will take place at St. John's Cemetery in Mechanicsburg.
