Mrs. Eva Lena McKinney, of Route One, Farmington, daughter of the late Eli Hawk and Eliza Woods Hawk, was born December 12, 1884 near Doe Run, and passed away Saturday, October 7, 1961, at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, of Farmington, aged 76 years, nine months and 26 days.

She was united in marriage to James David McKinney, on June 8, 1903, who survives.

Also surviving are three children, seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.

She was converted after she was married and joined the Christian Church.

Following the organization of the Washita Baptist Church she offered her services as teacher of the Junior class which she continued to teach for over thirty years.

In the summer of 1930 along with other members of her family she was united with the Washita Church where her membership remained until her death.

Grandma McKinney, as she was affectionately known, was a wonderful neighbor, a faithful church worker and a loving wife and mother. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday at two o'clock at the Washita Baptist Church.
