Blanche Jamison Berghuis died on June 11, 2008. She was born in Bloom, S.D. on November 13, 1914. She spent most of her life in Minnesota. She moved to Elmira, NY in 1962 and became Pastor of Sullivan Street Mission and served there for 26 years. Predeceased by her husbands, Lester Berghuis and Benjamin Decker; also eight brothers and sisters. She is survived by her daughter, Janice (Harold) Harding of Bloomsburg; and grandchildren, Randy (Chris) Harding of Albany, NY, Kevin (Vickie) Harding of Nescopeck, PA, Sharon (John) Kolenda of Bloomsburg, PA; 11 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Olive Miller of Minneapolis, MN, and Mabel June of Orlando, FL. A graveside service will be held in Maple Grove Cemetery, Horseheads on Monday, June 16th, at 1 p.m.
