Final rites for M. A. Lindley, 66, well known resident of Norris Street who died at his home Sunday afternoon, following an illness of several months, will be held from the First Baptist Church this afternoon at 4 o'clock. Dr. F. C. McConnell will officiate and burial will be in Silver Brook cemetery.

Active pallbearers: Leroy Winn, R. T. Altman,Grady Allen, Hood Geer, Charles L. Smith and Harry Geer. Composing the escort of honor will be members of the Baraca Class of the First Baptist Church and members of Willow Camp W O W.

A native of Laurens County, he was a son of the late Mr and Mrs John S Lindley. He had been a resident of Anderson since 1905 coming to this city from Pelxer. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Anderson and the Willow Camp of Woodmen.

In addition to his widow, the former Miss Kate Stalnaker of Elbert County Ga., he leaves two daughters, Mrs. Prue Geer of Anderson and Mrs James Davis of Iva; one sister Mrs Nannie E. Tumblin of Greenville County; two grandchildren, Charles and Nancy Davis of Iva also survive.
