Minnie Maude Fordham married (J)eroude W. Durden, June 25, 1938 per Jasper County, South Carolina Marriage Register.

I remember her quite well. She was always "Miss Maude" to all of us in several generations of my family, and I never heard of her by another name. She actually lived with me and my parents in Martinez for several weeks in the early 1970's when her husband was in the hospital in Augusta.

However -- the federal censuses of 1920, 1930, and 1940 all list her as "Minnie M.", so she apparently always went by her middle name. I wasn't going to put in an edit for this since no one looking for her would recognize "Minnie Durden", only "Maude Durden", and it's not actually on her headstone.
