Place of Death Center Twp. Adam Jacob Edenfield, Bridgewater, began his life on May 8, 1991, a perfect spring day in Pittsburgh, Pa. He was his mother's first-born, other half, anchor, best friend and her life for 16 action-packed years. His life ended Friday evening, Nov. 9, 2007, at his favorite hunting and camping spot. Jake surpassed every expectation any parent could have had for his or her child. Courteous, generous, compassionate, respectful, ambitious, resourceful, and responsible beyond his years, he exuded confidence while remaining grounded. With a heart of gold, those he loved, he did so deeply and sincerely. Jake was a member of the Aliquippa Free Methodist Church. Jake, a junior at Beaver High School, was an avid hunter who loved the outdoors and four-wheeling in his truck. He was looking forward to restoring his Camaro this winter. Jake owned and operated "Jake's Dependable Lawn Service" in Bridgewater and loved working as an excavator for Craig Wicks, Economy. His future career plans included serving in the United States Marine Corps, as did his beloved great-grandfather Edenfield. Within the past 16 months, Jake was preceded in death by his father, Barry Gress; great-grandfather, Ewing Eli Edenfield, to whom he was especially close, and his great-uncle, Robert Paul Edenfield. Devastated, yet surviving, are his mother and brother, Heather and Maxx Edenfield, Bridgewater; great-grandmothers, Osella Edenfield and Mary Milliken; maternal grandparents, David and Shelly Nastick, Ambridge; stepfather, Bill Caminite and his special canine friends, Charlie and Hershey. Other family members, Ewing G. Edenfield, NC, the surviving Robert Edenfield family, VA, the Kathy Clark family, WVA, the Tim Edenfield family, VA, Dan Edenfield, GA, the Rhonda Tomei family, Aliquippa, Leonard and Jenny Milliken, VA, Andrew and Su Gress, AZ, Clara Humphreys, CA, the Betty Collins family, TN. Jake's sincere friendship will be eternally missed by scores of other family members and friends.
