Born to Frank and Rhoda Reeves Freeland, Fern married Ernest Matarelli on July 28, 1934, in Peoria. He died Jan. 17, 1988, in Port Richey, Fla.

She also was preceded in death by one brother and three sisters.

Surviving are one brother, Charles Grewey of Pekin; and several nieces and nephews.

She attended Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Morton.

Entombment will be in Resurrection Mausoleum.
