Mrs. Mollie Woods McClaran, age 70, of the Rover Community of Bedford County, died Sunday evening, September 23, 2012 from injuries sustained in a house fire.

Her husband of 35 years, Albert Leon "Bubba" McClaran, age 72, also perished in the fire.

Mrs. McClaran was born in Bedford County and was a daughter of the late Thomas Roscoe and Beverly Dianne Edwards Brannon. She was a homemaker and retired from American Can Company of Shelbyville after 30 years of service. Mrs. McClaran was a member of Rover Baptist Church and a member of the "Red Hat Club".

Mrs. McClaran is survived by children, Joy Brannon Frame, Shelbyville, TN, Pam Potts, Shelbyville, TN, Cheryl Leverette Daniel, Shelbyville, TN, Lisa McClaran Adams, Shelbyville, TN, Debbie McClaran Griggs, Smyrna, TN, Benita McClaran Lahr, Shelbyville, TN, Albert Leon McClaran, Jr., Shelbyville, TN; sister, Linda (Stan) Sandlin, Unionville, TN; brother, William Woods, Everett, WA; 16 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. A grandson, Phillip Bradley Frizzell, also preceded her in death.

Visitation will be Saturday, October 20, 2012 from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home. Family members will also receive friends on Sunday, October 21, 2012 from 1:00 until 3:00 p.m. A joint Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday at Lawrence Funeral Home with Rev. Ronnie Grooms and Rev. Jay Pope officiating. Burial will follow in Cothran Cemetery near their home.
