William R. Ensley, 77, formerly of London, Madison, Ohio, USA, passed Sunday afternoon in the Veterans Administration Hospital in Dayton, Montgomery, Ohio, USA following an illness of six years.

Born in Springfield, Clark, Ohio, USA, 6 July 1885, he was the son of Calvin Cyrus Ensley, and Matilda Cynthia (Payne) Brandle Ensley.

Prior to his illness six years ago, he was a resident of London, Ohio and had been employed by the Downard Cleaning Co. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of London, Ohio and was a veteran of World War 1.
His body was brought to the Littleton Funeral Home, Springfield, Ohio for services at 3 p.m. Tuesday by the Rev. Robert Ustick. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Grace Evelyn (Hackenger) Ensley.

He left his daughter's-Martha Jane (Ensley) Burba Burt, and Nancy Louise (Ensley) Graves, and several grandchildren to mourn his loss.

Burial was in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
