We deeply regret to have to record the death of one of our oldest and most esteemed citizens, the late Leonard Wilson, Sr. His genial face and well-known figure have been missed from our streets for more than three months, during which time he has been confined to his house, with a complicated stomach disorder which baffled all the skill of the best doctors. Although considerable passed the three score years and ten, he was sound and healthy in every respect with the exception mentioned. He bore his long and painful illness with resignation and cheerfulness, and although he has known for some time that he could not possibly recover, he has never murmured and never lost his well-known cheerful and happy manner. He was surrounded during his last moments by his afflicted and sorrowing wife, his four sons and their wives, and three daughters and their husbands, the only absent children being Mrs. J.O. Coates, who left Orillia for Nebraska last fall. Mr. Wilson settled in Orillia more than 55 years ago and has resided here without a break ever since. His golden wedding was celebrated four years ago last August. He has always been a loving husband, and indulgent parent and a truthful and honorable
business man. The funeral will take place on Monday at two o'clock. The bereaved widow and children have our sincere sympathy.
