MONTICELLO--Leroy D. Keesling, 70, passed away Saturday, October 20, 2012 at 3:14 a.m. at the St. Elizabeth Central Hospital in Lafayette, IN.
Larry was born Wednesday, November 5, 1941 at Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie, IN, to Leroy W. Keesling and Vivian E. (Bookout) Keesling. Larry resided in White County Community since 1959.
Larry was a 1959 graduate of the Selma High School of Selma, IN and attended Purdue University. Larry moved to the White County are in 1959 where he farmed and later became involved in construction and development. He and his parents hosted the Farm Progress Show in 1967 in Chalmers, IN. Larry was very active in the White County 4-H program. Hi children were all 10 year 4-H members and showed at the local a well as the state fair levels. He enjoyed raising and showing cattle with his family, and spending time with his family and friends.
On November 30, 1968 in Knox, IN, he married Helen R. Johnson.
Survivors include his wife, Helen Keesling of Monticello, IN; children, Bryant R. (wife-Gina) Keesling of Anderson, IN, Susan R. (husband-Chris) Sabo of Monticello, IN, and Todd W. (wife-Susan) Keesling of Monticello, IN; grandchildren, Lane Robertson, Emma Lamb, Zachary Keesling, and Drew Keesling; step-grandchildren, Kevin McKeon, Nathaniel McKeon, Tyler McKeon, Eliza Sabo, and Montana Sabo; brother, Phil (wife-Cindy) Keesling of Phoenix, AZ; niece, Amy Keesling of Anderson, IN; nephew, Bart (wife-Tina) Keesling of Muncie, IN; great niece and nephews, Kendra and Nash Keesling (children of Bart & Tina), Alyssa (Amy's daughter).
Larry is preceded in death by his parents, Leroy W. & Vivian E. (Bookout) Keesling.
Funeral services are 1 p.m. Thursday, October 25, 2012 at Miller-Roscka Funeral Home of Monticello, IN with Rev. Rusty Clements. Burial will take place in the I.O.O.F. Riverview Cemetery in rural Monticello, IN. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday, October 24, 2012 at the Miller-Roscka Funeral Home of Monticello, IN.
Memorials may be given to the White County Ag. Association. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
