Margaretha Glaser, 90, of Durant, died Friday, October 9, 1936, at the home of her daughter in Durant, following an illness of three weeks.

Margaretha Albertsen was born September 4, 1846, in Germany and came to the United States to Cedar County, Iowa, in 1870. She married Peter Glaser on June 17, 1870, in Durant. They farmed in Cedar County, until they retired to Durant. Mr. Glaser died in 1931. Mrs. Glaser was a lifelong resident of the Durant area.

Surviving are eight daughters, Lena (Gus) Thiessen, Laura Makoben and Margaret (Peter) Bierman, all of Durant, Mary (Henry) Wegner of Luverne, MN, Anna (John) Holling of Brainard, MN, Amanda (Harry) Miller of Winnipeg, Canada, Emma (William) Hamann of Sunbury and Matilda Makoben of Davenport; three sons, Peter (Minnie) Glaser Jr., of Luverne, MN, and Henry (Emma) Glaser and Jens (Elsie) Glaser, both of Durant; 35 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and two sons.
