Ada Gatewood Capps, 93, of Dresden, died Monday, April 16, 2007, at Weakley County Rehab and Nursing Center in Dresden. Graveside services for Mrs. Capps were held Wednesday, April 18, 2007, at 2:00 p.m. at Sunset Cemetery in Dresden. Ray Harper officiated the services.
Mrs. Capps was a retired hairdresser and a member of Wesley Chapel Methodist Church. She was a native of Weakley County and the daughter of the late Genon and Gertie Gatewood. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Capps was also preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Alton Marvin Capps; four sisters, Dula Harper, Zeda Harper, Ollie Gatewood, and Dossie Taylor; and a brother, Quinton Gatewood.
Mrs. Capps is survived by a son, Eddie (Janice) Capps of Dresden; two sisters, Geraldine Austin of Palmersville, and Nell Olds of Palmersville; two grandchildren, Jeff (Shauna) Capps of Martin, and Jennifer Young of Dresden; and four great-grandchildren, Mason and Harrison Capps, and Chase and Chandler Young.
