Abraham Archer, of Co. B, recruited man enrolled Sep. 22, 1862 in Pierceton by Capt. Heath as a Private; mustered in Nov. 11, 1862 in Indianapolis by Capt. Webb at age 24. He was 5Œ 10 tall, dark complexion, dark eyes, and dark hair. Born Feb. 1838 in Logan Co., OH, employed as a farmer, married to Margaret Shaffer, resident of Pierceton, in Kosciusko Co., IN. Discharged for disease (phthisis pulmonary from typhoid fever) May 2, 1863 in Murfreesboro, TN with rank of Private. Notes: Fought at Stone River. He filed Invalid Pension Application to receive Pension Certificate #231104 Jan. 9, 1882 in OH. Resident of Logan Co., OH 1880-1910. Died Mar. 13, 1916 in Lakeview, Logan Co., OH and buried there in Plum Cemetery. Victoria filed Widowfs Pension Application to receive Widowfs Pension Certificate #849112 Oct. 31, 1916 in OH.
