The funeral for J.H. Atkinson retired quarryman, was held Tuesday from his home 500 West Twenty Eighth Street.
Mr. Atkinson was a trustee of Twenty Fourth Street Methodist Episcopal Church and president of the Universal meeting now located on Freemont Avenue.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Laura V Atkinson, four daughters Mrs. M.F. Barnes, Mrs. H. Barnes, Mrs. C. Brown, Mrs. Ira Pyle; two brothers Thomas M Atkinson and William Atkinson; two sisters Mrs J. Trogler and Mrs. George Barnhart 11 grandchildren and 9 great granchildren
