On September 29, 1886, she married Edwin Wales Robertson, son of Thomas James and Mary Ophelia (Caldwell) Robertson of Columbia, and they were the parents of four children. Evelyn Robertson died on February 15, 1952, and is buried in Elmwood Cemetery, Columbia.

Found in The State 16 February 1952: Mrs. Evelyn Perkins Robertson died at 3 o'clock Friday morning at her home, 1802 Seneca avenue, following several years of declining health. Mrs. Robertson was the widow of Edwin W. Robertson, Columbia financier and industrialist, who was president and treasurer of the Columbia Railway Gas and Electric company which developed Parr Shoals and was the predecessor to the South Carolina Electric and Gas company. Mr. Robertson was also president of the National Loan and Exchange bank and was one of the organizers of the Standard warehouses. Mrs. Robertson was born in Kennebunkport, Maine, November 7, 1866, the daughter of the late Joseph A. and Frances Eveline Perkins Titcomb. She and Mr. Robertson were married September 29, 1886, and she came to live in Columbia shortly after that time. Mrs. Robertson was a member of Trinity Episcopal church. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. J. B. S. Lyles and Mrs. E. B. Cantey of Columbia, and Mrs. Basil Hwoschinsky of Greenwich, Conn.; one son, Thomas J. Robertson of Columbia; a sister, Mrs. John E. Chatman of Swampscott, Mass.; ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
