The picture at right is: ca. 1862. Portrait of William Hardy Bowman in his Confederate Army uniform. He joined the Confederate Army along with many of his Families relatives. his brother, Andrew J., and brother/n law's, George Wash. Pitts, and My 3rd Great Grandfather Daniel M. Bullock.
He was a many Great Uncle to me.

He was part of the Dooly Guards from Dooly Georgia. The 60th Reg. GA Volunteers Inf., He fought with The well known Evans Brigade, John B. Gordon's Division, Army of North Virginia.


He had 7 children: 1. George Jefferson Bowman (b. 1870) 2. Matilda Jane Bowman (b. 1868) 3. John Bowman 4. Mary Bowman 5. Federick Bowman 6. Wiley Bowman 7. Susianne Bowman.

The Bowman, Hardy & Pitts Families are all very deeply intertwined and married together for several Decades from Georgia, South Carolina, ect.
