Obituary published in Woodstown, Salem Co, NJ newspaper "The Monitor-Register" on Friday, June 19th 1908:
"Died In Kansas --
John Quincy Richmond, who was born in Woodstown Nov. 8, 1845, died at Horton, Kansas, May 23, 1908, from injuries resulting from a fall. He was doing some work on the roof of his barn, when he fell, breaking his leg and receiving internal injuries. The deceased went to Kansas in 1878 and bought a farm near Lancaster. He afterwards sold his farm and moved to Everest, where he engaged in the dry goods and grocery business. He afterwards engaged in the livery business. He leaves a widow and two children, a son and daughter."
