Edward Von Steuben died on Saturday at 12:45 p.m. at the residence of his son Leidy, Bethlehem, aged 81 years and 30 days. He was born in Bethlehem township, on July 1, 1832, a son of Augustus and Hannah Von Steuben.
He leaves three sons, Edgar of Bethlehem; Robert, of New York and Leidy, of Bethlehem; two brothers; Peter, of Iowa, and Augustus, of Allentown; four sisters, Mrs. Owen Hess, and Mrs. Frank Wint, of Bethlehem; Mrs. M. Frankenfield, of Allentown, Mrs. Theodore F. Levers, of Washington, D.C.; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
The funeral will take place from his late residence today at 1:30 p.m. with services at the house. Burial will be private in the family plot in the Hecktown cemetery.
