Mrs. Isabel Sawyer Fenderson, a lifelong resident of Biddeford-Saco and a former Biddeford school teacher, died last night at a local hospital.
Born in Biddeford, the daughter of the late Charles H. and Mary Lowell Sawyer, she was educated in the local schools and graduated from Biddeford High School in 1885.
She taught school in Biddeford prior to her marriage in 1895 to the late Adney J. Fenderson. A member of the Saco Unitarian church, she was active in Sunday School circles of the congregation.
Survivors include three sons, Robert J. Fenderson of Saco, Henry C. Fenderson of Cambridge, Mass. and Richard A. Fenderson of New York City; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
