Mary Catharine Hollett.

Mary Catharine Hollett, daughter of James and Anna Cooper, was born in Buchanan, Mich., March 21, 1837, where she grew to womanhood. In 1853 she was united in marriage to Amos Hollett. To them were born seven children. Michael, Mary, Anna and Jay, with on the loving companion, preceded her the a number of years to the spirit land. Those surviving are Retta and William of Culver, and Asa of Three Oaks, Mich, with a large number of remote relatives and many friends. In 1896 Mother Hollett left the farm and moved to Three Oaks, remaining there until 1911 when with her son and daughter she came to Culver. In their home she was tenderly provided for in the declining twenty-odd years of life. From this home on Dec. 1 she passed peacefully into rest at the ripe age of 81 years, 8 months and 10 days. For nearly 40 years she has been a member of the Christian church in Three Oaks, where her mortal remains are at rest. Peace be to her ashes." From The Culver Citizen, December 4, 1918, page 1
