David O Goodrich, of Co. A, enrolled Sep. 12, 1861 in Angola by Capt. Kinney as a Private; mustered in Nov. 22, 1861 in Ft. Wayne by Lt. Stansbury at age 20. He was 5Œ 9.25 tall, fair complexion, blue eyes, and brown hair. Born in Morrow Co., OH, employed as a farmer, single, resident of Metz P.O., in Steuben Co., IN. Mustered out at the end of the war Sep. 14, 1865 in Nashville, TN with rank of Corporal. Notes: In hospital in Nashville since Aug. 20, 1862-Nov. 1862; in Gallatin, TN, Dec. 19, 1862. Returned to duty Apr. 27, 1863. Was in Convalescent Camp in Murfreesboro and returned to duty Aug. 6, 1863. Reenlisted Jan. 1, 1864. Married Alma Letcher 1866 in Steuben Co., IN. He filed Invalid Pension Application to receive Pension Certificate #203636 Nov. 16, 1875. Died Mar. 13, 1888 in Steuben Co., IN; buried there in Metz Cemetery, Row 4/Stone 1. Alma filed Widowfs Pension Application to receive Widowfs Pension Certificate #271611 Apr. 27, 1888, in IN.
