Jameson

Graveside services for Mrs. Mary Anthony Jameson, 91, of San Bruno, Calif., formerly of Alton, will be conducted Wednesday at 10 a.m. in Fosterburg Cemetery.

Mrs. Jameson, the widow of Allen Marsh Jameson, died Sunday at the home of a daughter, Mrs. F. M. Goad, at San Bruno.

The former Mary Jane Anthony, she was born October 5, 1872, at Quincy. She came to Alton with her father the late Mr. Jonathan Anthony, a steamboat engineer, and her mother, at the age of four, and had lived here until 1958 when she went to California to make her home with a daughter.

She and her husband observed the 60th anniversary of their marriage in Alton in August of 1955. Mr. Jameson died in 1956.

Mrs. Jameson was a member of First Church of Christ, Scientist, Alton.

Survivors are three daughters, Mrs Goad of San Bruno; Mrs. G. H Gould, Palo Alto, Calif.; and Mrs. T. L. Ferguson, Maryville, and a son, Jack Jameson, Brighton. There are three grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.

Committal rites will be in charge of Smith Funeral Home, Alton.
