NEWBERRY - Catherine Ellisor Meetze, 87, died Wednesday, October 17, 2012, at White Oak Manor. Born on April 16, 1925, in Columbia, she was a daughter of the late Gary Evans Carter, Sr. and Mattie Gertrude Perry Carter. She was a member of West End Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, Lewie E. Meetze; daughters-in-law, JoAnn S. Ellisor of Newberry and Betty Jo D. Ellisor of Leesville; sisters, Jeanette Medlock, Sondra Dyches, Bonnie Strange all of Columbia, Dianne Carter of Greenville; sisters-in-law, Ruth Carter and Gail Carter, four grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Mrs. Meetze was predeceased by husbands, J.D. Ellisor, Sr. and Thomas L. Milstead, sons, David Ellisor and Heyward Ellisor, brothers, John "Billy" Carter, Gary "Buck"Carter and Charles "Bo" Carter. Graveside services will be held at 10:30 am Saturday, October 20, 2012 at Newberry Memorial Gardens by the Rev. David Lyles. Visitation will be Friday from 6:00 7:30 pm at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home.
