Laura Lucille (Lady) Lollis Lilley, daughter of Louis and Dora Lady.

Laura L. Lilley, age 87, died Monday, June 22 at the Foxwood Springs Care Center in Raymore, MO. Memorial services will be held on Monday, June 29 at 10:30 a.m. at Raymore Christian Church, Highway 58 and Peace Dr. in Raymore. Memorial contributions may be made to the church. Laura was born April 27, 1922 in Lost Springs, Kansas. In 1927, the family moved to Kansas City where Laura would eventually graduate from Westport High School. In April 1942, Laura married her high school sweetheart, Patrick H. Lollis. Patrick soon enlisted in the Army Air Corps and became a navigator on the B-17 bomber. He was shot down and killed over France in August of 1944. At the time, Laura was pregnant with their only child, Michael. As a single mother, Laura lived with her grandmother and worked several jobs to support the family. In 1951 she met an osteopathic physician, Dr. Roy M. Lilley, who had recently moved to Kansas City. They were married on Christmas Day, 1952, and remained married 48 years until "Doc's" death in 2000. For many years, Laura worked as the office manager of his medical practice. Laura is survived by her son Michael E. Lollis and wife, Charlotte of Las Vegas, NV, stepson Roy E. Lilley and wife Bernice of Jefferson City, MO, and stepson Hiram W.
