LESLIE E. BOND, age 80, of Troy, PA, died on Monday, April 11, 2005 at the Robert Packer Hospital. He was born on March 21, 1925 the son of the late Stewart and Thelma (Cupps) Bond. He was a WW II veteran who served in the Pacific in the Navy, a decorated war veteran. He helped with many models for exhibits, including putting one in the Smithsonian Institute for the Milton Hershey Chocolate Factory. Leslie is survived by daughters, Gena Bond and Virginia Pearce of Troy, PA, Lisa and Scott Schultz of Rochester, MN, Rebecca Singer of Redding, CA and Linda Collins of Huntington Beach, CA; fourteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren and his cat, Baby. His wife Shirley (Cagle) Bond died on June 26, 1998. A graveside service was held April 15 at the Hilton Cemetery in Troy, PA with William Baker officiating. Military Honors followed the service. Arrangements were by the Vickery funeral Home in Troy. Memorial contributions in Leslie's name may be made to the American Cancer Society.
