SAVANNAH - Alvah "Bubba" Anchors, Jr. 74, died Saturday November 8, 2008 at Candler Hospital. He was born in Savannah, Ga., was a member of the Assembly of God Church, member of Civil Defense, Member of Blind Association of Georgia and worked for the Industry for the Blind He is preceded in death by his parents, Alvah and May Anchors, Sr. He is survived by his wife, Mary Lucille Carter Anchors of Bainbridge, Ga. three step-daughters, Charlene Garcia, Verlyine and Tawana Taylor; two sisters, Betty Anchors and Peggy Powloski and several grandchildren.
Visitation: 6 - 8 pm Wednesday at Fairhaven Funeral Home. Funeral Service: 11am Thursday in the Chapel of Fairhaven Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Culver officiating.
