John Harbaugh Sr., farmed at Lantz, in the upper end of Harbaugh Valley.

They had five sons and three daughters: David Harbaugh, married Susanna Brown; Anna Margaret Harbaugh, married John Harbaugh; Elizabeth Harbaugh, married Peter McClain; Henry Harbaugh, married Martha Ann Young; John Harbaugh, Jr., married Martha Brown; Jonathan Harbaugh, married Elizabeth Stephy; Catharine Harbaugh, married David Rhodes and Jacob Harbaugh, married Anna Mary Elizabeth Harbaugh.
