He was born in Gaston County, son of the late Robert and Mary Sronce.

VISITATION: 12:30-1:30 p.m. Saturday, Ward Funeral Service, family is at the home of Linda Russ, 103 Burton Hills Circle, Gastonia
He was a member of Love Memorial Baptist Church, a retired insurance agent, family member of the Wedding Chapel Inc., Gastonia, Marine Corps. Veteran having received a Purple Heart at the Battle of Iwo Jima.
SURVIVORS: Wife of 40 years, Ruby Baldwin Sronce; daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Albert Russ, Gastonia, Elaine and Ronnie Arrowood, Mount Holly, NC; sons, Marvin Sronce Jr., Gastonia, Steven Sronce, Gastonia; sister, Ruby Auten, Belmont; 4 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren
