The daughter of Arteneous and Orpha (Butts) Aeschliman, she was born on March 6, 1909 in the Darby community, northeast of Lancaster, Missouri.
In 1925 she was married to Charles Franklin (Frankie) Lamb.
Survivors include her brother, Herbert and wife Virginia Aeschliman of Richland, Washington; one sister, Viva Reed of Lancaster, Missouri; 13 nieces and nephews; 6 step grandchildren; many children for which she provided babysitting service as well as many friends..
Her husband; 2 brothers, Paul and Jonathan Aeschliman; 3 sisters, Catherine Fretz, Delpha Krug and Cecil Lennbacker; 2 stepsons, Loyal Lamb and Keith Lamb preceded Jemima in death.
Jemima was a member of the Lancaster Christian Church where she also sang in the choir for many years.
Jemima was a loving and caring person for all those she came in contact with and will be long remembered for her gentle touch and loving kindness. She was also an avid seamstress and had sewn for several families in Lancaster and surrounding areas.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 28, 2002 at 1:00 p.m. at the Norman Funeral Home in Lancaster, Missouri with Rob Green, pastor of the Lancaster Christian Church officiating. Music selections will be provided by Maureen Watkins, organist. Special selections will be "How Great Thou Art" and "In The Garden". Pallbearers will be Jared Shaw, Anthony Brummer, Eric Brummer, Shadrick Shafer, Whit Aeschliman and Cole Steen. Honorary pallbearers will be the children she babysat over the years. Interment will be in the Darby Cemetery, northeast of Lancaster, Missouri.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 27, 2002 at the Norman Funeral Home in Lancaster, Missouri between the hours of 7-8:00 p.m. A memorial has been established for the Lancaster Christian Church in Lancaster, Missouri.
