Obituary:
FRANCES MAE SEDWICK Was born at the present home of the father, August 2, 1879, and died with her new baby boy at the place, January 30, 1917, aged 37 years, 5 months, and 28 days. The cause of her death was hemorrhage and she passed from apparently strong healthy life to death in less than one hour. She attended the country schools and later took a four year course in the Aledo high schools, graduating wth the class of 1897. She taught in the Centre school, Suez township, four years.

On December 23, 1908, she was united in marriage to Elmer G. Burrill of Greene Township, Rev. Geo. Crum, Universalist pastor at Logansport, Indiana, officiating. To this union were born four children, Lucille, aged 7 next April; Luella 5; Loren, who died last February, at the age of 3 months, and a boy dying at the time of the mother.

Shortly after marriage they moved to Highland Park, where they resided until March, 1915, since that time they have lived at Suez. For fourteen years she has been a member of the Universalist church, was organist at times and for years taught a class in the Sunday school; was an active member and often was leader in the ______U. She was also a member of the N.A.U. of Highland Park. Possessing of a kind and hospitable disposition she made friends wherever she went she was a dutiful daughter, a faithful wife, a loving mother and a kind neighbor; and it is very sad that her useful life was cut short at this very premature age. It is sad for this young woman to leave her husband, little girls, and make sad their former happy home. Strong sympathy is with the sorrowing family.
