Obituary-
Mr. William (Bill) Crampton, passed away after a lengthy illness on November 29, 1978, aged 77 years, at the Beausejour Hospital.
He is survived by his beloved wife Silva; two sisters, Mrs. George Weedmark (Ellen) of Dominion City and Mrs. Fred Wagner (Eva) of Ashcroft, B.C. also many nieces and nephews and numerous friends.
He was predeceased by his parents, four sisters and two brothers.
Mr. Crampton was born in Dominion City, Manitoba on December 10, 1900 and moved to Morse, Sask. in 1916 . In 1922 he was employed by the Lake of The Woods Milling Co. at Shaunavon, Sask. as a second man. The next year he was given his own elevator at Frontier, Sask. The co. moved him to Beausejour in 1941 although the elevator changed hands from Lake of The Woods to Ogilvie's, then to the Manitoba Wheat Pool, Mr. Crampton continued as a buyer until an accident in the elevator in 1961 forced him to retire.
Funeral service will be conducted at the Russell Funeral Chapel, Beausejour on Friday, December 1 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. N. Pruell officiating. Service will terminate at the chapel.
If friends so desire, donations may be made in his memory to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Manitoba Heart Foundation.
