Funeral serice was held today for Ida L. Querrie in Ralph Day chapel, Danforth Ave. Mrs. Querried died in her Butternut Ave. home Sunday.
She was the widow of Charles Querrie, one of Canada's greatest lacrosse players, and a leading sports figure for nearly 50 years. He was the manager of Toronto St. Pats Hockey club when they twice won the Stanley Cup and also wrote a sports column for the Toronto News. He managed the Palace Theatre for 25 years.
Mrs. Querrie was born in Markham, as was her husband, and they married in Toronto about the turn of the century.
She was a member of the Riverdale Presbyterian church.
Mrs. Querrie was the former Ida Hall, and is survived by two sisters, Lena and Ethel and two brothers, Edwin and Hiram of Toronto.
