Ada R. (Himes) Rohler Ferree, 99, formerly of York, died at 8:15 a.m. Friday at the York County Hospital and Home. She was the wife of the late Emanuel B. Rohler and the late John Howard Ferree.
A graveside service will be 1:30 pm Monday in Prospect Hill Cemetery. Viewing will be 7 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Heffner funeral Home, North York, Pa.
Mrs. Ferree was born in Manchester. She was the daughter of the late Augustus and Annie (Speice) Himes.
She was a clerk for Strickler’s Product at the former York City Market. She was a member of Otterbein United Methodist Church, York
Mrs. Ferree is survived by a son, Emanuel B. Rohler, Jr of West Palm Beach, Fla; three daughters, Helen R. Petry, Ruth Sylvia Wolf and Eleanor M. Myers, all of York; a step-daughter, Martha Smith of New Freedom. 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; several step grandchildren and step-great grandchildren; and a nephew.
Officiating at the service will be her pastor, the Rev. Myron R. Jones.
