The couple made their home on a farm 3 miles east of Stockville, NE. Don farmed all his life. He was a member of the School Board in both Stockville, NE. and later Maywood, NE. after the consolidation of the schools. He was the president of the Arbor Cemetery Board in Stockville, NE. Don enjoyed fishing, boating and pistol shooting.
Inurnment was in the Ft. McPherson National Cemetery, Maxwell, NE.
