A beautiful wedding was solemnized on Thursday afternoon at the Baptist Pastorium, when Rev. R.S. Gavin said the impressive ceremony which united in marriage Mrs. Maggie Carter of Jackson, and Dr. Joe Y. Alexander of Pocahontas, Tenn.
The service was attended by quite a number of relatives and intimate friends of the contracting parties, among whom they are popular.
The bride was costumed in a very becoming tailored suit of gray with harmonizing accessories. She is a very attractive woman, possessing a charming disposition and refined manners. The groom is a promising professional man of Pocahontas, where he enjoys a lucrative practice. He has been residing here for several years, and is held in the highest esteem.
Amount the out-of-town attendants were Mrs. Emma Brooks of West Point; Mrs. A.G. Scott and J.B. Stone of Jackson, Tenn.; Miss Mary Shea and Emmet Shea of Pocahontas. At the conclusion of the service the happy bridal party were showered with good wishes for a long life of sweet contentment, success and happiness.
