(Robert was the son of James Stuart and Sarah Berry. Mary's parents were James Stevenson and Mary Stevenson the daughter of John Stevenson and Ruth Miller). Arilla married twice, the first time about 1807 to Chauncey Beecher, son of Walter and Rachel Beecher. The couple were parents to eight children, though there may have been a ninth. In order of birth they were Polly or Mary A. (Mann), Aretus, Walter, Lyman, Miner, Marilda, Sherman C. and Rachael (Ferster).
Rachael, the youngest was born after her father's death in 1827 in Yates, Orleans, NY. It was in this township that Arilla met and married John A. Eggleston, a widower with one son, John D. The blended family group relocated to Flint.
Daughter Marilda married John D. Eggleston and raised her family in Flint as well.
Many family members are also buried in this cemetery and in others in the region. S. Wendt∼She is the daughter of Robert Stuart and Mary Stevenson.
