Chester Allen Gaumer is the son of George Washington Gaumer,and the 2nd Great Grandson of Daniel Gaumer, Soldier of the War of 1812 and the 3rd Great Grandson of Johann Jacob Gaumer a drum-major in the American Revolutionary Army buried at New Hope Cemetery, Ohio and the 4th Great Grandson of Johann Dietrich "Dieter" Gaumer a DRUMMER 1 BATT. PA. MILITIA
REVOLUTIONARY WAR

Chester Allen Gaumer was a Farmer, laborer and truck driver in the Salina area.
He had his farm and no running water until the City of Salina Incorporated his property and he had to give up his horse's and get plumbing and running water instead of the water pump and the 2 holer outhouse in the late 1960's/early 1970's

During the filming in Kansas of the 1955 movie "Picnic" and since he was a member of the teamsters, was the Chauffeur for the stars (Rosalind Russell, Kim Novak, and William Holden) along with his sons Marvin and Clyde
