Eleanor graduated from Wabeno High School in 1931. After graduation, she attended and graduated from Langlade Co. Normal Teachers School. She married Alvin Sorensen in 1935 in Wabeno and the couple later moved to Milwaukee; he preceded her in death on May 3, 2001.
Through life, Eleanor loved to cook, bake and enjoyed entertaining; but most of all she enjoyed caring for her family. She also enjoyed competing in the Forest Co. and Wabeno Fairs with her baked goods, gardening and flowers; where she won many blue ribbons.
