GREEN COUNTY KENTUCKY OBITUARY – 1978

The Rev. Terry Bishop, 69, pastor of the Greensburg Separate Baptist Church and life-long resident of Green Co., died suddenly at his home last week. Bishop, Rt. 2, Greensburg, was born August 8, 1908, the son of the late Edward Bishop & Bird Price Bishop. He died June 14, 1978. He had been in the ministry for 35 years and in that time had served as pastor and evangelist in many churches. He was also a farmer and owned and operated a farm in the county. He was a member of the Greensburg Separate Baptist Church where he was pasturing at the time of his death. Bishop is survived by his wife, Flossie Moran Bishop, Rt. 2, Greensburg; a daughter, Mrs. Mildred Woolridge, Rt. 4, Campbellsville; 2 sons, T.J. & Donald Gene Bishop, both of Greensburg; a brother, Weldon Bishop, Greensburg; 7 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and a host of relatives and friends. His funeral was conducted at Foster-Jones Funeral Home, 10 a.m. June 17. Officiating ministers were: the Revs. Grant Davis and Garlen Skaggs. Burial was at Oak Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers were Ronnie Bishop, Jackie Bishop, Joey Bishop, Verlon Judd, Harold Moran and Dencil Davis. Foster-Jones Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
