Death of O. V. Ledbetter. An Old Resident of Dallas -- Father of Two Members of Police Force Passes Away.
A wire was received yesterday morning by Patrolman J. J. Ledbetter announcing the death of his father, O.V. Ledbetter, at Everton, Ark.
Oliver Vincent Ledbetter was 76 years of age at the time of his death. He came to Dallas from Tennessee in the spring of 1848, and lived here for many years, raising a family of ten children, two of whom are J. J. Ledbetter and A. L. The body of an old gentleman named Vinson Ledbetter was brought here Monday from Searcy County and prepared for shipment to his old home in Dallas, TX. He had formerly resided in this part of the state and was here on a visit to relatives when he became sick and died. He was 75 years of age and a highly respected gentleman. Deceased was a brother of Esq. A. B. Ledbetter, of near Blanco, and was visiting his brother at the time of his death. He was well and favorable known throughout Searcy County.
