"Mr. Wm. Harris, of Dandredge [sic], died at his home on Friday last. Mr. Harris was the father of Capt. S. T. Harris, of our town, and one of the best known citizens of Jefferson county, we extend our sympathy to the Captain and relatives in their great loss." The identity of William's parents was kindly provided by Find-a-Grave member Robie Merritt Loriaux-Roberts.
