He helped to form the Martin County Industrial Development Authority and served as its first legal counsel. He represented the Board of Directors of Martin Memorial Health Systems for 36 years. Larry was a Past President of the Stuart/Martin County Chamber of Commerce, a founding member and first President of the United Way of Martin County, a founding member and Secretary of the Economic Council of Martin County, and a founding member and President of the Martin County Gator Club. He was a past member of the Stuart Kiwanis Club. Larry was a member of the First United Methodist Church and served on several committees.
