Charles H. Bachhuber Funeral services for Charles H. Bachhuber, NO, a former principal at Port Washington high and grade school, were held at 8:30 a. m. Friday at the Slattery-Skubal Chapel, Milwaukee, and at 9 a. m. at Holy Assumption Church, S. 71st and W. Orchard St. Burial at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Milwaukee, followed the Requiem Mass. Mr. Bachhuber was principal of the Port Washington high and grade school from about 1914 to 1918 when the school was located where the Port Vocational School and library is today. He was principal of the high school at Medford. Wis., from 1918 until his retirement in 1933. Prior to accepting the post at Port Washington, he taught at a number of Wisconsin schools following his graduation from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, in 1900. He died Nov. 10, at his home at 1443 S. 74th St., Milwaukee. Mr. Bachhuber is survived by three sons, the Very Rev. An- drew H. Bachhuber, S. J. di- rector of the Jesuit Theologiate at St. Mary's College, St. Mary, Kansas: Doctors Hugo M. Bachhuber of Cherokee, Iowa, and Gregory J. Bachhuber of Wausau; one daughter, Miss Marie Bachhuber, girls' adviser at Nathan Hale High School, West Allis. The Holy Name Society, of which the deceased was a member, joined in a parish vigil Thursday night.
