He was born Sept. 29, 1934, in Roseboom, the son of Dewitt and Cora (Harding) Diamond.
He married Antoinette (Toni) Klimuszka on June 4, 1955, in Cherry Valley. She predeceased him June 26, 2002.
Charlie operated the family dairy farm until 1976, after which he was a logger.
Survivors include Charles Diamond II and Faith Ilowiecki of Seward, Durine and Jerry Filicetti and son, Nicholas, of Stuart, Fla., Katrina Diamond and John Leonard and children, Brittany and Jerell Leonard, of Cherry Valley, Daniel and Kim Diamond and son, Nathaniel, of Cherry Valley; sisters, Eleanor Flint of Cherry Valley, Lorraine Young of Cherry Valley, Betty Young of Morris and Vivian Bender of Florida.
Besides his wife of 47 years, Antoinette (Toni) Diamond, he was predeceased by his sister, Ruth Hendricks.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 21, 2005, at the Ottman Funeral Home, Cherry Valley, with the Rev. Lyman Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the Roseboom Cemetery, Roseboom.
Calling hours will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 20, 2005, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mr. Diamond's memory may be made to the Cherry Valley Emergency Squad or to the Louis Busch Hager Cancer Center of Cooperstown.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Ottman Funeral Home of Cherry Valley.
